How to Decide Between a PC and a Mac

Trying to decide between a Mac and a PC? Well, you've come to the right place. Most people think one is better then the other, but, it actually depends on YOU! Computers are different for different people. For example, imagine an awesome, media-styled computer with everything from buttons for every media function available, and even two disc slots! But if the person who bought it is a business man, and wants speed, connectivity, and multi-tasking abilities, he might feel a little stupid for buying that computer. Okay, let's get back to topic. There are some things you need to know about laptops and computers before I get into any detail. Here are the basics:
Processor - Basically, the processor is like a power plant; the faster the processor, the better the performance. The basic unit of measure is a hertz (Hz). Nowadays, everything is measured in gigahertz (GHz,) and sometimes megahertz (MHz.)
RAM Memory - The more memory you have, the more you can multi-task. So if you multi-task a lot, make sure you have good RAM; I recommend about 2GB RAM.
Hard drive - The hard drive is where everything is stored. If you use a lot of space, get a big hard drive, but I recommend getting a little higher than you will use, because if you're almost out of space, your computer will start slowing down.
Graphics - How good the graphics are (duh!) If you are a gamer, you probably should get a good graphics card.
Display - Resolution - the higher the resolution, the sharper the display.
Modem - How fast your internet can get; most computers are capable of receiving 56 Kbps (kilobytes per second,) but current regulations only allow speeds up to 53 Kbps.
Well, that's basically all you need to know for performance, but now let's talk about the big question: Mac or PC?
Macs:
1st of all, let me tell you one thing about Macs: They are expensive! But, they might be worth it.
They are thin!!! (With the exception of the Mac Pro)
Virus, spy ware, everything preinstalled, and you don't do anything.
Performance
You can run Windows
Microsoft Office for Mac is available
iWork (equivalent to Microsoft Office) has many designing options to make documents more appealing
Very multi-media "friendly"
Great design(hardware and software)
PC:
Performance - you can always upgrade, you can always make better.
Customizable more than a Mac because PC has Microsoft Vista and has many, many computers running PC (Unlike the Macs, which only has the Macbooks, Macbook Pros, the iMacs, and the Mac Pro)
Can choose your own protection
Performance
Microsoft Office is the perfect for students and business men
Very, "business-like" and "sophisticated" feel.
Different colors and designs.
Everything basically comes down to this:
If you want something cheap, buy a PC (because like I said, Macs are expensive!) But if you're not that tight on your budget, it comes down to you. Are you more business like, gamers, media freaks, or all together? I would say if you are more business like, and don't feel like the idea of changing everything you know how to run a computer (if you already have a PC,) then get the PC. If you are moderate games, moderate media dudes, or media freaks, then get the Mac. Lastly, if you are a SUPER-GAMER,then save up your money and buy a super, $3000, super graphical, super speedy gaming PC. Keep reading for some extra info.
I am in love with Macs. One reason is (if you still couldn't decide between a PC and Mac, you had better be listening) that Macs have a feature call Boot Camp, which can run Windows, but you need the Windows disk to install it. There are many more reasons for me to say why, but that's just my opinion. If you want any more information, just go to the windows site or the apple site, and get some info.
